postcards from the Transylvanian village

Transylvania is a controversial place, stocked into a permanent state of transition. There is no place in the world where beings, nations and different ages would coexist in such a bittersweet chaos. It seems that there are no leaders here. At least nothing suggests a conscious planning, everything is happening randomly. But at the same time the sterility and overregulation of the western countries is also missing. One can easily find real wilderness and meet plenty of people with healthy value systems in Transylvania. Nothing can be found from the stability and predictability of the developed societies. The twentieth century brought a lot of damage. The real treasures, the nature and the relics of the traditional way of life survived due to the underdevelopment.

But despite all of these, if we do not expect too much, Transylvania seems to be a good place to live.
